The Village Chapel is excited to announce the return of SummerLife! Designed for high school students, SummerLife offers a fun, welcoming environment where students can connect, build friendships, and enjoy meaningful experiences together on Bald Head Island.

Wednesday Afternoon – BHI Club Day 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Wednesday Night - Pool Party at the BHI Club  6:00 – 8:00 PM

​SummerLife is FREE and open to all high school students, and NO SIGN-UP is required.
​The goal of the program is to create a meaningful and enjoyable experience where students can relax, form lasting friendships, and grow through shared experiences during the summer season.

Programming will run Sunday through Wednesday each week and will include a variety of activities across the island. We would love to have you join us for all four days, but there is no expectation to attend every activity—come to as many or as few as your schedule allows. While participation each night is encouraged, we are grateful for your presence whenever you are able to join us.

Weekly Schedule:
​Sunday – Island Gathering Night at the Marina  /  6:30 - 8:30 PM 
Sunday nights will feature an evening of fun for the entire island community to enjoy together. Events will include a concert featuring David Lin and Randy Riley, popular comedians known for their family-friendly humor, and other special nightly entertainment to kick off the week’s SummerLife activities. All are welcome. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy an evening of island fun. Fair food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. SummerLife students pick up their free UPF 50 hoodie!!

Monday – Beach Day (Beach Access #13)  /  1:00–4:00 PM
Afternoons at the beach will include volleyball, swimming, games, and group activities. Beach access #13

Tuesday – Public Safety Cookout /  6:00–8:00 PM
Evenings at Public Safety will feature a cookout, basketball, games, and fun.

Wednesday Morning - Turtle Trot (Turtle Conservancy)  8:30 AM
The 5K route winds through the island’s ancient maritime forest and along the edge of our pristine beaches, providing stunning views along the way. Participants can choose to run the 5K at their own pace, whether that means sprinting to the finish or taking a leisurely stroll. This event is designed to be family-friendly, so everyone can participate regardless of age or skill level.

Wednesday Afternoon – BHI Club Day /  1:00 - 3:00 PM
Enjoy a Pro Golf Lesson, Pickleball, Tennis, or Croquet at the BHI Club (no membership needed).

Wednesday Night - Pool Party Celebration and Pizza at the BHI Club  /   6:00–8:00 PM
Each week will conclude with a pool party celebration at the BHI Club.
